Hi, I’m Alison and I want to give you the chance to shine in the ever-competitive job market. That could be by polishing your CV and covering letter, perfecting your interview technique or, if you’re really stuck on what you actually want from a job, coaching you to identify where your strengths lie and how you can use your skills in the workplace.

I have a corporate HR and training background and, during my time handling recruitment and selection for a multi-national finance company, found that I was seeing the same (generally poor) CVs again and again. It was disheartening for the candidates because they weren’t getting that opportunity of that crucial first (or second) step on the career ladder, and it was also frustrating for me because I knew that, with a bit of help, they could be on their way to a brighter future.

So, using my skills, knowledge and experience I can give you the edge over your competition.

A bit about me

I have recently moved from the beautiful Isle of Man and relocated my business to Gibraltar, and my home life to the sunny Costa del Sol.

Luckily, one of the perks of my job is that I can work with clients anywhere in the world!

When I’m not working I love to travel and, having just moved to Spain, I’m looking forward to seeing a lot more of this beautiful country (and, of course, enjoying some delicious food!).

I’m a lover of all things 80s, have a passion for watching cookery programmes (Masterchef Australia I’m talking about you!) and have a love/hate relationship with running.

The formal stuff! 

I have a degree in Applied Social Studies from the University of Central Lancashire, a Certificate in Teaching Basic Skills from University College Isle of Man, and spent over 15 years teaching literacy and numeracy to adult learners.

I studied with Cullen Scholefield to obtain my Certificate in Human Resource Practice and am an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
